Alien epidemic in the sea…scientists said there is no way to stop it

One third of the world is surrounded by sea. In such a situation, if any disease spreads in the sea for which scientists do not have a cure, then this is scary. Especially for those people whose whole life depends on the sea. Sea urchin is one such epidemic, which is now spreading beyond the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean.

What is this epidemic?

A study has been published in the Current Biology Journal by researchers from Israel’s Tel Aviv University. This study describes how the sea is in the grip of a terrible epidemic. The name of this epidemic is the Archin epidemic, which is now spreading from the Red Sea to the western Indian Ocean. Due to this epidemic, sea urchins have almost disappeared from the Red Sea. Scientists fear that this epidemic will now spread to the Indian Ocean and this can pose a serious threat to human life.

What is a sea urchin?

Sea urchin is a kind of creature that plays an important role in maintaining the delicate ecosystem of the sea. This black round and thorny creature is found in the depths of the sea. The main job of this creature is to protect the coral reef. If these creatures are completely wiped out from the sea, then the coral reef will also be in danger and then its bad effect can be seen on humans.

No cure for epidemic

According to researchers, this epidemic was first seen in the Gulf of Aqaba about a year ago. Within two weeks of its detection, this epidemic spread up to 70 kilometers. According to scientists, when an urchin falls prey to it, it turns into a skeleton within a few days. Researchers currently do not have any way to prevent this disease.
